Femke de Jong

Femke earned her PhD in plant science. And has worked for over 13 years as a postdoc on different plant biochemistry and molecular genetics research projects. She is interested in how plants develop and how they adapt to different circumstances. Slowly came the realisation that she liked reading and writing about this as much, if not more than doing the actual research. Therefore, she is now focussing on science journalism and communication to show others how interesting and innovating plants are. Her ultimate goal is to write a popular science book about plant science.
